WISC - Women in Science @ Columbia - Career Satisfaction Workshop

September 23, 2016 SWG Project

Career Satisfaction Workshop

Date:  Monday, September 26, 2016
Time:  6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Fairchild 700, Morningside Campus
RSVP required

Are you wondering how to choose the right career path for you after you finish your PhD? BSCI has teamed up with the Engineering Graduate Student Council and the 92% Alliance to bring you a Career Satisfaction Workshop that will give you tools to help answer this question! Not only that, but you can enjoy some free pizza and beer while you're at it!

The workshop will be led by Dr. Matthias Birk, Adjunct Professor at the Columbia Business School and Senior Director Organizational Development & Learning at Ralph Lauren. Dr. Birk gave this workshop at What Can You Be With a PhD last year, and we're very excited for the opportunity to share it with you! You can find Dr. Birk's bio from WCUBhere.

This workshop will help you gain greater clarity around what you're innately good at, what motivates you, and what matters to you. Looking at various career options through the lens of your own individual strengths, preferences and values can help the right choice become more clear. We'll also take a look at what modern psychology tells us about the elements that need to be in place to be successful and happy.

To help us know how much pizza and beer to get, please RSVP here if you're interested in attending!
